Prithvi's BCP-DR plan is a comprehensive written plan to maintain or resume business in the event of disruption. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning has become an industry standard in today's world. It is not limited to the restoration of information technology systems and services, or data maintained in electronic form. Such actions, by themselves, cannot always put an organization back in business.

 Without a BCP that considers every critical business unit, including personnel, physical workspace, and similar issues, an institution may not be able to resume serving its customers at acceptable levels. The primary objective of Prithvi's Disaster Recovery Plan is to help ensure the continued operations of the Prithvi enterprise by providing the ability to successfully recover IT services in the event of a disaster.

Primary goals of Prithvi's BCP-DR:

• To detail the correct course of action to follow
• To minimize confusion, errors, and expense to the enterprise
• To effect a quick and complete recovery of services
• To reduce risks of loss of services
• To provide ongoing protection of company assets
• To ensure the continued viability of this plan

Prithvi's Disaster Recovery Plan is a detailed document containing the necessary instruction, policies, organization, and information required for the Prithvi enterprise to be prepared for an emergency that would affect our IT services.

The Plan consists of six major components:

• Prithvi's Emergency Response Team: The purpose of Prithvi's Emergency Response Team is to establish and direct plans of action to be followed during an interruption or cessation of IT services caused by a disaster or lesser emergency.
• Prithvi's Emergency Control Center: The Emergency control center / co-coordinator are responsible for developing and coordinating the Action Teams. During an emergency situation the Emergency co-coordinator will activate and then direct all activities until the emergency is under control.
• Prithvi's Recovery Procedures: Recovery procedures contain the guidelines / action to be taken in a major disaster viz., notification to the Emergency Response Team and activation of the Emergency Control Center.
• General Procedures for Potential Interruptions: Guidelines right action to be taken in case of Fire outbreak, Floods, Electrical outages etc.
• Backup Procedures: Backup procedures deal with protection Prithvi's Enterprise data, online and offline storage & recovery procedures.
• Plan Maintenance: Maintenance plan is helpful in measuring the effectiveness of the BCP-DR plan in real-time.
